Five Stars not enough. Food is great. Best wrap I've had in a long time. Portions big and service GREAT. From Management to when we were served, everything was perfect. Thank you and I will be back again soon.
The food itself is kind of basic, gyro and chicken. The meat was good but lacked bit of flavor/uniqeness. The rice was warm and very well balanced. The white sauce was plentiful and I enjoyed it. The hot sauce i believe is ghost pepper based so some people might find that overpowering. Perhaps if you're ordering, ask for it on the side. Wings are a mix of 3-4 flavors so it's really up to your palette. I enjoyed them, my cousin didn't. The service was good. The cashier was super friendly and chill. He explained all the items and was quick! Pricing is fair. Place was super clean and I no complaints about the environment. Parking was a bit confusing but easy once I got into the parking plaza.
One of my favorite spots for a late-night bite! New York Chicken & Gyro has absolutely fantastic chicken and very good lamb. I always order the mix platter with half salad and half rice with extra white sauce (best white sauce in town -- SO good!). The platter is always delicious! In some of my orders, we've found that food has been missing. That said, these occasions have been few and far between (only twice, I believe) My only complaint: there are very few vegetarian options. My fiancée isn't a big fan of falafel, but there's nothing else on the menu for her to eat as an entree. As a result, we haven't eaten here nearly as much since she's moved to Los Angeles. Let me be clear though: the moment that a beyond burger or veggie patty, a salad, or another vegetarian dish land on the menu, we will be back *quite* frequently!
I have ordered New York chicken and Gyro over 20 times and it is always solid. We usually get it delivered and it has never let us know. The food is amazing!!! This is my favorite chicken and Gyro spot in California it is up there with all the good New York spots. Highly Recommend: Mix Platter With Half Salad Falafel Platter The sauces they use are amazing! I highly recommend getting both the white and red sauce.
Ordered last night for my first time via UberEats and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It's basically a better version of Halal Guys. The meat is juicer and seasoned better, plus they have great sides. I always go for lamb or beef but can honestly say this is one of the few times that I enjoyed the chicken even more. It had a great level of spice to it but it didn't take away from the flavor. For my first time I chose The Combo which is half lamb and half chicken. Opted to do part rice and part salad for my side and enjoyed every bit of it. It actually turned into 2 meals for me so when I factor that in the price is very fair. I would recommend and plan to try it again soon.
This is my second NY Chicken & Gyro location I've tried in LA under this ownership and everything has remained consistent. My recommendations are the chicken and lamb platters as well as a falafel wrap. The service and hospitality is spectacular.
New York Chicken & Gyro is the perfect late night spot to grab and awesome meal at a great price. I got it delivered so I can speak to the service but it got here pretty fast and was still at great temperature. The mixed platter was awesome I got it with chicken lamb and rice. The Chicken was absolutely amazing cooked and seasoned very well. Lamb was also very tasty nice and juicy. All the sauce that I got with it only enhanced everything the white and hot sauce are awesome. But the highlight is the drip sauce it was fantastic and so good to put on anything. The rice cooked well and you get a decent amount of it. Overall a great late night experience. 4.5/5
They are the cloud kitchen concept, which means there are multiple kitchens located in the same location. Food can be ordered prior to arrival to cut the wait time. They will call you when food is ready. I ordered: 1. Mix platter for drip wings 2. Chicken gyro 3. Fries Street parking with meter is available but some what difficult to find. Very crowded if you come at peak hours. They have tables outside if you want to eat here.
